dyecraig Right on. I caught them live this week at Fort Reno Concerts. "All At Once" is when they really clicked for me, especially that keyboard "line". The instrumental "Lamentations" is another favorite. As far as "desert rock" goes, it really does remind me of my time in Tucson, AZ. And nice guys as well. Recommended.

suncharms This album is brilliant - plenty of what we used to call 'desert rock' going on in here - a must for fans of The Dream Syndicate, Green On Red, Thin White Rope etc and a heavy dose of Neil Young's Crazy Horse stuff. It's damn melodic too so I'm also hearing hints of The Embarrassment/Big Dipper - 10/10 album of the year for me for sure!

The new world comes replete with myth and doubt What if everything was what you feared it was? All I’ve heard obscures my vision and stirs my sleep Catch the drops, the dripping hours Sketch my scene You’re a feather in the air brush against my arm Scratch and bleed the tickled itches of your charm The blur of the shifting world’s surrealist feel Catch the drops, the dripping the hours Sketch my scene

Left love in dormancy buried deep in philosophy All blue in the sunny times Receive warmth as a warning sign Standing in the windy throes Sand and foam In the pine of a silent wood Sand and foam When we leave each other it's like we’ve never been known Sand and foam Some think if you think everything they’ve known, is the way things always are Some think if you think it’s so, who’s anyone to say it's not? I’ll leave it in the air in the dust of a bygone era

Prism 03:12
We all want to see your prism shine refractive glow Colors splash out from your hands painting the air as you talk This time ain’t gonna be like every other the terror and tremor wheel Face it in the winter make yourself better remember to use your fear One last wish as we see your star fall Holding hands as the pillars dissolve Who you gonna listen to when opportunity calls? The shape that you’re in is a wavy reflection of many lies Hard to conceal what we know is real under any shade of light This time ain’t gonna be like every other if you’re tired of how it feels Face it in the Summer so you have another season to make it right
4.
Who Knows? 03:21
The moving thrill the undulating landscape stretched out Relativity and gravity holding moments still Posing under constellations the astrological rubs against your vanity and Goes where nothing will, shows what nothing could, Knows what no one else knows about it Well then, in the spirit of the sacred theologic therapy awakening Rising from the dirt rest assured that geologic time Buries our tiny lives and opens up a universe and Goes where no one will, shows what nothing could Knows what no one else knows about it
5.
Equal Parts 04:00
Stalled out looking in, who’s in there Dormancy for a little while our perennial Take a branch a fallen limb tear into parts of equal length Crumbling dried leaves to pieces on the wind they carry All our hopes’ embodiment Called back revised progress lightens your eyelids Far off above the elms you ascend with them On the wind embodying on the wind they carry
6.
Every weekend I just kinda hang around I wait for you there Elbows gone inward hands across my stomach like a belt Each minute stacks upon the others like a flipbook All the still moments played in quick motion as a moving image Memory playing back like television If I pine its only cuz i’m hanging like an ornament Its only cuz i anticipate our reunions with cheer All my thoughts always gravitate to your life Suspended in orbit take them with you anywhere If you’re hanging you can reach for them I would never ask to be anyone’s whole world We thrive in the biodiversity of our peers We’re layers of contorted rock fossils in the walls We condensate and fall through the atmosphere And I see you there

Sorry 02:13
Despised by the look of a shit eating grin Drunk in the theatre all alone Quiet and dark and totally numb Sorry that I broke your heart Pick young shoots in the frosty Spring Unripe berries are hallucinations Bright and fresh and buzzing around Sorry that I’m moving on Walk with your tune looping through my head over And over till I lose my mind Maybe you’ll never feel complete maybe that’s the joy of living your life Find me a stream that rages along Drop from the boulders to the waves below Wet and shaking and totally freaked Sorry that I won’t let go Smell the smoke from your fireplace Feel the heat of desire Warm and lovey in a dizzy spell Sorry that i’m so fucking dumb Maybe you’ll never feel totally one, maybe that’s the joy of living your life

All At Once 03:04
Like to be alone on a mountain, the ridge cuts a vaporous line Chirp with the crickets and look down on the birds Stick a needle in my eye All here all at once on the languishing rock In the airy hours stare through a thousand yards Like to hear that old wind blow through a canopy of glittering light Moves through the trees, it moves through me Like to hear that old wind wine All here all at once in the languishing wood In the airy hours stare through a thousand yards
9.
Dizzy withdrawal pins in the nerves of the softest parts All my hearts gravitational pull not enough to hold you Hope you can see all your affection means to me Oh my song sing it on my own you know I like it off key And all the magic thoughts not enough to bring you closer to me Not enough to bring us closer Tell it on a stage a numbered line on a numbered page Feed the plot something you’re not, something in the fashion A beautiful scene in Edward Hopper greens and blues Lines of sharp dividing light push against the solitude And all the magic thoughts not enough to bring me closer to you Not enough to bring us closer
10.
Here lies Peezy beneath a gray veil by the window listening to birds So much love you’d have to prevail All she wants is what can’t endure, all I want is what can’t endure Gets so easy to let yourself down pick yourself apart when no one’s lookin’ What you got to lose but another piece of yourself All she wants to be something else, all I wants to be something else

Image 03:03
Taking pictures of yourself map a constellation Like Venus in the morning you’re on your own Take a picture of yourself a little imprint in your world Like that distant star you were long gone, long ago Make an image of yourself an impression in the stone Like that ancient fossil you’re a shadow Make an image of yourself a little imprint in your world Like that shadow’s bones you were long gone, long ago
